Oh how happy I am to finally be motivated to go to the gym! It was such a productive day today... I was in the gym for 1.5 hours ... working out obviously!
I hit the treadmill, the stairmaster, the elliptical and did some leg extensions. I actually wanted to go to the gym. I like this transformation in me... where I was always looking for one excuse or another to not work out, now I am looking for every chance to sneak some in. Not that I get too many chances, but hey something is better than nothing!
I somehow don't learn from my mistakes! Though I had a BAD experience on the first day at the gym, I still had breakfast before working out. I was fine on the treadmill, but the stairmaster made me nauseous. I took it easy for sometime and then resumed my session.
Even IP and SP had a very productive day! They got to watch TV which is a treat that they look forward to as they are not allowed any electronics during the week. They helped me clean around a little. SP got promoted to the next level of ice skating. He got his badge and certificate. IP's coach was very happy with his ice hockey skills.
They returned from ice skating and hockey at around 10:45 am and by 12:00 pm they were showered and ready to kick off the long weekend. This is considered increased productivity because they both think that you don't shower on weekends. They even practiced their piano with outstanding improvement. BTW, SP is going to play "All Star" and IP is going to play "Hakuna Matata" for their recital. Their piano teacher thinks that they have taken a bigger bite than they can chew, but is confident that they will be able to do it.
IP was having a hard time with fractions. A brief math session with him cleared all his doubts and SP got an intro to fractions. He was so happy when he out that two 1/8s make one quarter. After math they both did 30 minutes of reading. IP seems to enjoy Series of Unfortunate Events. He is on book 3 and so far he likes it. SP on the other hand loves Magic Tree House series. After reading they did something that they haven't done in the last 3 months - they played outside and rode their bikes. The temperature was 35 degrees Fahrenheit but with proper gear it was warm enough to play outside.
Right before bedtime, VP said it was a great day at the store. The sales were higher than usual for this time of the year!!
Wouldn't you call this a productive day? I surely would!! It started on a good note and ended on a good note too.
